Classic White with Warm Tones

Relocating all appliances, removing the drywall pantry, eliminating the desk, and enlarging the window were recommended to update this late 19080’s Naperville home.   Moving the cook top from the island allows continuous prep space and an area to serve when entertaining. Increasing the window size lets in more natural light, while shifting the window to the left increases the counter space in between the sink and cook top. Adding the butler’s pantry in lieu of the drywall pantry generated a multi-function area to service has a dry bar and coffee center.   White cabinets, a contrasting cherry island/butler’s pantry, and darkening the wood floors create a warm and inviting space. Gone are the days of a monochromatic color scheme.
